[Today there's five people over by the entrance of the labs]

I believe that is all we need...

We will, just a small distance behind.

[Looks at Juan suspiciously, but does what he's told. In a few moments, the beam of Daniel's flashlight can be seen steadily down the passageway ahead.]

[Welp, from what you can see there's three paths to take. It's a fairly standard lab setup, with flickering overhead lights. Some of them have burned out, but for the most part the ones in this hall cast some sort of light.

To the west there's a long set of doors, most slightly open or entirely open, with the occasional scratch marks on the floor or stains on the wall. To the east is a hall with the light tapering off further down it goes, until it's all but black at the end. To the south is a set of signs and... writing. Writing not by any kind of steady hand.]

[The flashlight is not as comforting as the lantern, but Daniel appreciates the control it provides. He keeps the flashlight at his feet as he walks through the hall, thinking carefully.

If the signs provide any information at all, it would be better than what they have now. He turns south, focusing his light on the signs.]

[The sign's old and faded, and the moment you get there you can see that the legend has been clearly faded away. The words under the sign are a mantra, repeating "DON'T GO DOWN DON'T GO DOWN DON'T GO DOWN DON'T GO DOWN" and so on.]

[Nnnoted. :( This passageway looks a lot safer, if he's reading the map correctly. Let's continue.]

[Teal is so comforting, isn't it? :)

You take the l-turn and head down, and to your right is a bathroom with the door open. The light sputters inside, and you can see a slumped form in the corner.]

[Can I just...wait for the others to catch up with me? Really don't want to go in there.]

[You can turn back at any time you want, buddy. they're waiting for you at the entrance]

[Yeah, he's going to do just that. He'll keep checking behind him occasionally, flashlight in one hand, knife gripped tightly in the other.]

[... was that a squeaking sound from the vent?]

[...Shit. Pointing his light in the direction of the sound.]

[There's a shift of movement in the grate]

[yeah no getting the hell away from that.]

[Don't worry, it seems to go away quickly! ...Though it was hard to get a good look at its' size or shape.]

[Don't care. Going!

He's at the juncture of the three hallways. Any changes?]

[None! well. okay one. The door at the north hall is open now]

[Well, that door can go fuck itself. He considers the situation as he returns to the entrance. How far will his group trail behind? Surely they would back him up deeper in the labs?]

[That will be an interesting question, won't it?]

You have returned, what did you find?

I would not go to the other halls until we have explored the south. It should have valuable information.

And the other halls? What of your results there?

The north hall is completely dark at the end. The west hall has signs of life throughout.

Then I will tell the others.

You've done well so far, I'm glad I trusted you.

Ah...thank you. But we have only just begun.

Will you enter the labs?

Of course, though I will pose the question to the group of where we should go.
